The NHS Benchmarking Network team worked with Jose over a number of years both in his role at West London and also as a key figure in London's Medical Directors Group. Jose made an immediate impact on us with his effusive welcome and broad handshake, and then proceeded to immediately "get" the data and analysis that we presented to Medical Directors. He always gave us great insight and provided thoughtful comments, always linked to the interests of patients. Jose was a consistently reliable contributor and advocate motivated by his wish to improve patient care, we will miss his input and at this time are thinking of his colleagues, family and friends.
